I'm committed this summer to trying out Asian cooking. As we all know, for people with a nut allergy, going out for Thai is insane, and with an egg/shellfish allergy I've never gone out for Chinese, either. I want to try Indian first, as I've found some naan bread that is safe (by Kontos - in Ottawa available at Hartman's on Bank). I don't think I've ever tried curry spice, though, or garam masala. Just from word of mouth/personal experience, do people with nut allergies have problems with any Asian spices?
